Sacred Heart Día De Los Muertos - Daily Illustration #3

Posted by on

This time for my Daily Practice, I challenged myself to illustrate something with a lot of details... I mean *A LOT* of details. Since I love the beautiful colors and symbols used in the DÍa de los Muertos celebrations across Mexico, I thought I'd do a google search with that in mind. After a few minutes, I came across a blogger's photo that I loved. The Beautiful Circus's blog, I found an article she wrote to help you reproduce her outfit. If you are interested in seeing how she created it, check it our here.
I absolutely love what Día de los Muertos stands for.  It brings people together annually to celebrate in life-affirming joy and pay respect to those loved ones who have passed. In the spirit, I dedicate this illustration to my mom. ❤️
To read more about Día de los Muertos, here's a great National Geographic's article highlighting the top 10 things to know about this celebration.
