I have a giant inspiration board in my studio that is pinned with fabric swatches, feathers, photos, sketches, scraps of paper, lace, buckles, zippers, textile print ideas, doodles and just about anything else I am inspired by. These items combined with my current point of view provide the starting point for a collection. I pin and unpin until I find the right balance that fits my personal zeitgeist. Then the rough sketching begins....
